This page will provide a place to archive projects/code that have been canceled/deprecated over the years but should not be forgotten. Any content on this page should be considered public domain unless you can claim it as yours, as I have lost contact with some of the authors.
Lance was my first Application for OS 9 which sadly fizzled out after years of part time work, multiple versions and help from artists around the world. The plan was to be a massive multi-player RPG which allowed players to build homes, buy land and run shops in a simulated economy. It never really made it past beta-testing even though there were 70 paying customers at the time the project was cancelled, around 1999 I think. Lance was basically an open source project in essence and I just couldn’t keep making all the contributions so the project sadly fell apart. I would like to bring this project back and have actually made a little network engine using CFSocket (BSD sockets wrapper) and a 2D sprite engine using Quartz. Maybe in the years to come.
I would like to archive some screen shots and other media that were generously donated by the team at the time.

Lance had some good MIDI songs by an impressive composer who contributed. Download the zipped file below and enjoy good fantasy MIDI music!
